In 1933 then MGM signed a contract with the three Stooges and they then appreared in several short films either together or individually or with other actors usually consisting of short comedy acts.
In 1934, a year later, then they signed with Columbia pictures to appear in 2 movies and worked for Columbia Pictures the next 23 years without any raise. They were fired in 1957 due to the market for shorts had dried up but they then went on in 1959 to make movies instead while Columbia re-released their 190 three stooges show in TV and aired them on a regular basis. From 1959 to 1970 they made several movies such as �Snow White and the Three Stooges� in 1961.
